Vacuum Tube Collector

The Vacuum Tube Collector is made up of several vertical tubes, with each tube containing two glass tubes that are made of string Borosilicate glass. The external tube is transparent so as to allow light to pass through, while the internal one is coated with a type of special heat absorbent. Both tubes are fused together, and the air between the tubes is removed to create a vacuum state, to increase the efficiency of the transfer of heat and light. Each internal tube is a u-tube copper pipe that contains the heat transfer fluid, and this pipe is used to connect to the main manifold above and on through the system.

Either type of solar collectors can be integrated to provide hot water directly for various applications; such as heated swimming pools, showers and cleaning purposes.
