Flat Plate Collector

A Flat Plate Collector is a metal or polycarbonite container with a glass exterior, usually in dark colour to aid in heat absorption, and a fully-insulated interior to reduce heat loss. Light will pass through the glass exterior and strikes an absorber plate, which has the heat transfer liquid flowing through its piping.
